Front mount intercooler FMIC for Saab 900

Charged air needs to be cooled — but so do the condenser and radiator behind it.

That’s why we chose to develop a half-height front mounted intercooler instead of a conventional full-height design.

A full-height intercooler may maximize core size, but it can also restrict airflow to the radiator and A/C condenser, especially during hot weather or spirited driving. Our half-height design maintains efficient charge air cooling while allowing better airflow through the rest of the cooling system.

The intercooler core measures 450 × 230 mm, providing roughly twice the cooling area of the original intercooler. Combined with its improved mounting location, we believe this setup offers an excellent balance between intake air cooling and overall cooling system efficiency.

This makes it a great solution for daily driven cars, especially vehicles operating in hot climates such as Asia.

We also offer an optional air temperature sensor bung for Trionic 5 converted cars, as well as an optional 25 mm blow-off valve port welded onto the inlet pipe.
